Market Engagement - Sexual Health Services

Commissioners wish to invite interested Providers to attend the briefing session, where there will be a brief presentation given and an opportunity to ask questions, speak with commissioners and Public Health team members. The Barnsley ambition is to continue improving sexual health outcomes, keep our residents and service users central to the decision making process from procurement to provision, whether provider or commissioning organisation, work together to shape a better offer. Barnsley Council has a responsibility to provide: ⢠Comprehensive sexual health services including most contraceptive services and all prescribing costs, but excluding routine contraception in general practice. ⢠Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) testing and treatment, chlamydia screening and HIV testing. ⢠Specialist services, including young people's sexual health, teenage pregnancy services, outreach, HIV prevention, sexual health promotion, services they may be needed in schools, college and pharmacies
