The council believes that there is considerable scope for a public cycle share scheme which will support the provision of sustainable transport as Stevenage grows. The council is considering 'docked' and
'hybrid' schemes, with the intention of procuring a supplier to deliver a phased introduction to Stevenage and manage the day-to-day operations over a set contract period.
