Among the duties placed on Local Authorities by The Short Breaks for Carers of Disabled Children Regulations 2011 are the stipulations that they must: provide a range of short breaks services; and give families the choice to access short breaks services using a direct payment. Short Breaks services are a key part of the fulfilment of these duties.
The London Borough of Bromley - The Council - is looking for providers to deliver Short Breaks services for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities SEND.
The Service Provider must always aim to provide a positive experience for the child or young person as well as a break for the carer.
