South Cambridgeshire District Council is seeking consultants to produce a Visitor Accommodation Study for Greater Cambridge to provide a sound evidence base for the Joint Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire Local Plan.
The project specification includes a number of related work strands:
⢠Strand 1 - Review current visitor accommodation provision in Greater Cambridge
⢠Strand 2 - North East Cambridge: Advise on an appropriate quantum and mix of visitor accommodation types that addresses the opportunities and challenges of the site.
⢠Strand 3 - Inform Plan preparation of the Greater Cambridge Local Plan
⢠Strand 4 - Provision of Expert advice to Plan Making and Development Plan Examinations
The Councils are seeking to work with a contractor who can demonstrate a high level of knowledge and practical experience of visitor accommodation needs assessments related to development plan making.
This work forms part of the Councils' plan making evidence base. The contractor must demonstrate in writing that they have no conflicts of interest in respect of work being sought that cannot be effectively mitigated.
Detailed proposals are now invited from consultants.
