2-284 IT IT Commercial Financial Models Production and Assurance

The role is to produce (and provide assurance of) financial models for IT Commercial Division; the division responsible for procuring and managing technology contracts.

A high level overview of the remit can be summarised as providing commercial support to the ITD procurement teams, including:

• Preparation, development, and assurance of financial models for procurement of technology contracts. The format will be dependent on the NEC Option or HE bespoke option being used, which in some cases maybe procured through existing HE or Government frameworks, or OJEU-equivalent procurement. The financial models are to be produced from translating the details in the Scope or requirements (provided by IT Commercial).
• Assistance with any financial model relating tender queries received during live procurements.
• Evaluation and verification (including clarification, where applicable) of financial models received from Tenderers, and production of an assessment report.

The role(s) will be ideally supported by seasoned commercial people, used to public sector procurements, comfortable working autonomously, self-starters, expected to advise and take the lead on commercial matters rather than co-ordinating other commercial personnel.

The role will be to support, and be supported by, various project teams but will often be the sole commercial member available.
