Contract for Regulating the Operation of Autonomous MASS >24m length

As the government's leading maritime agency, the MCA is tasked with developing and continually evolving regulations that supports the UKs future ambitions and does not constrain our ability to be bold, innovative and forward thinking whilst at the same time not compromising on fundamental principles. In line with Maritime 2050 Strategic Ambitions, the MCA is supporting the UK to:

• Lead the way in taking action on clean maritime growth enjoying economic benefits from being an early adopter or fast mover.
• Strengthen our reputation for maritime innovation, maximising benefits to the UK from new maritime technology through our world leading universities, maritime small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and global companies.
• Continue to be recognised as the global leader in maritime safety and security standards and expertise worldwide.

The MCA has a requirement for a number of Work Packages to be completed to deliver a report on regulating the operation of Autonomous MASS (please read the attachment for further details).
