We are ambitious for children and young people in Sutton and want to support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to be best prepared for adulthood (PfA).
The London Borough of Sutton ('the Council') therefore intends to commission an independent travel training offer to support children and young people aged 11 - 25 who live in the borough to travel to their place of education where they would benefit from this service in order to meet their individual outcomes.
We have been offering independent travel training (ITT) to children and young people in Sutton since 2013, and are looking for a new provider to deliver a service which continues and further embeds this offer, to enable young people to learn how to travel safely and confidently to and from school or college.
