A review of the adopted Local Plan (2011-2031) is underway, to ensure that climate and nature protection issues have due weight in line with the Declaration on Climate Emergency, and the Council now requires a consultant or consortium with strong knowledge of forward planning, renewable energy resource assessment, renewable energy financial viability and public engagement / consultation to undertake a systematic District-wide evaluation of renewable energy potential and constraints, and propose an evidence-based strategy that will inform the Local Plan review
