PAN2064 - Out of hours burial administration

Leicester City Council invites Tenders for the provision of an 'out of hours' burial administration service.The purpose of the contract is to provide an out-of-hours burial administration service when the Authority is unable to do so.

Summary of the service to be provided by the Service Supplier:

• take bookings for burials from Funeral Arrangers, funeral directors, individuals or organisations outside of the Authority's normal administration times;

• ensure that all relevant Notice of Burial application forms are completed accurately prior to interment;

• ensure all relevant statutory paperwork, Registrar's Certificate for Disposal or Coroner's Order for Burial, has been completed and received prior to interment;

• liaise with the Authority's on call cemetery staff to confirm date and time of burial;

• ensure all relevant and statutory paperwork is passed to the cemetery staff for checking prior to interment;

• provide advice to Funeral Arrangers, funeral directors, individuals or organisations about the Authority's cemetery fees, grave options and cemetery regulations.
