Bowmans Harbour is a completed, closed landfill site which is subject to an Environmental Permit issued by the Environment Agency. The Council has a legal requirement to carry out environmental monitoring at the site in order to comply with the conditions of the Permit.
The works being procured consist of:
⢠environmental monitoring for ground gases, groundwater and leachate
⢠the servicing of the existing flare stack
⢠balancing of 55 gas collection wells
⢠provision of technical advice
⢠provision for vegetation clearance
⢠submission of leachate discharge data to Severn Trent
