Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust took a decision to implement Cerner at the Trust at its both the Hospitals- Chelsea & Westminster and West Middlesex University Hospital. The implementation of Cerner at WMUH has been completed and now it is being implemented at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. The implementation of Cerner is being done at different gate ways and required external assurance services to be provided to the Trust Boards by an independent organisation who would have reviewed each stage of the programme prior to the Trusts moving onto the next phase - 'gateways'. The service provider was expected to ensure, by reviewing evidence and appropriate documentation that the progress of the programme is on track and that it is safe and applicable to move on.
