UNICEF Baby Friendly Stage 2

The London Borough of Hounslow is seeking to procure specialist/ specialist support to ensure that it achieves the UNICEF Baby Friendly Accreditation Stage 2

Stage 2 accreditation is achieved when a service demonstrates that all staff have been educated according to their role, as described at Stage 1, and that this training has prepared staff to care for mothers and families effectively. All staff who have contact with new mothers and babies will need to be educated to allow them to implement the standards according to their role

The key requirement for the service is to provide a service for the following:

1. Training to educate community staff to implement the standards according to their role and the service provided

2. Implement an internal audit programme

3. Make an application for stage 2 assessment

4. Prepare and organise the documentary evidence required at a Stage 2 assessment
