These are preparation works for the new Heyhouses Link Road. This contract requires the construction of a piled slab to protect a 375mm United Utilities water main prior to the construction of the new link road which will be let under a separate contract to this one.
The works required are to install a reinforced concrete protection slab which will be supported on 450mm diameter bored piles constructed using continuous flight auger.
A contract will be placed with a single contractor to undertake this work.
The contract will be awarded to a single tenderer.
