HEE is looking to commission a scoping exercise to further aid the implementation of the Maternity Support Workers (MSWs) career and competency framework in England. A successful pilot has already taken place across North West London to map the implement the career and competency framework within the Local Maternity System. The work has included the creation of a system wide job description and educational pathway as well as a system wide co-designed and co-delivered pathway to support service led provision.
HEE is looking to further scope and develop a series of key deliverables to enable the full implementation of the framework.
