The works consists of abrading existing protective paint coatings on three structures with P2 steel parapets and applying paint coatings in-situ. All the work is to be undertaken from the highway.
All painting works to be screened off whilst the work is in progress. All edges which are liable to falls and dropping of materials on to the canal, the adjacent land or properties shall be protected at all times by temporary barriers, nets & handrails. Therefore robust protection system will be required to carry out these works.
The canal tow paths are not to be used for carrying out these painting works. Plant, equipment or materials will NOT be allowed to be stored on Canal & River Trust land.
