The Community Pharmacy DCC Employee Flu Vaccination Service forms part of the council's Seasonal Winter Health Strategy and Implementation Plan. It contributes to a strategic response to improve and maintain health during the winter months by increasing flu immunisation uptake rates across the population.
To reduce the administrative burden on pharmacies, it has been agreed with the Local Pharmaceutical Committee to implement longer-term contracts. This has been approved by Public Health Senior Management Team and the request is therefore to put in place longer-term 3+1+1 contracts with pharmacies.
All 126 County Durham pharmacies are included and will have individual contracts for service delivery.
