Open Access Sexual Health services are statutory in nature and Local Authorities are required to provide them as part of their Public Health responsibilities. In Surrey, we integrate them alongside HIV treatment and care services in a partnership with NHS England. This ensures that our residents are able to achieve the best outcomes possible irrespective of need.
Our joint vision is to re-commission a countywide Integrated Sexual Health & HIV Service, for the health and wellbeing of all the residents of Surrey.
The existing extended contract will end on 30 September 2022. Therefore Surrey County Council & NHS England are re-tendering our Integrated Sexual Health and HIV Services. This new 7-year contract (5 years initial period, plus a 2-year possible extension) is to be provided by one (1) lead provider who is welcome to make sub-contracting arrangements.
