A Medical Director (MD) is required to provide clinical governance within Her Majesty's Coastguard (HMCG). HMCG is in the process of implementing clinical governance as part of continuous improvement. The MD will be expected to have significant pre hospital emergency medicine experience and relevant exposure to search and rescue operations. The MD will be required to attend monthly clinical governance board meetings in Southampton, provide ad hoc remote advice and work on other tasks as and when required.
