Contract for the Provision of School ICT Support - Domain Controller refresh and Microsoft Active Directory Replacement

Operating within the Finance and IT Group of Gateshead Council, the School ICT Support Service is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and capable provider to deliver the following Contract requirements:

Computer Hardware Replacement:

• Decommissioning of the 4 existing central Domain Controllers servers used to manage the Microsoft Active directory services

• Procurement, build, configuration and deployment of 4 new Domain Controllers servers to support the Active Directory migration.

Software Licencing:

• Supply of Microsoft Server 2016 Standard software licences (education pricing) for the four new central domain controllers.

Microsoft Active Directory Replacement:

• Migration of the existing Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 Active Directory forest, tree and domain design to the latest Windows Active directory solution

• Review and replacement, as appropriate, of existing Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 Active Directory group policies and logon scripts
