Derbyshire County Council has several countryside centres across the county; Shipley Country Park, Middleton Top, High Peak Junction, Tapton Lock and Elvaston Castle. Previously we had contracts with B for Books and Outstanding. They have supplied us with local books, maps, stationery and reading related toys. \r

A 7b tender process was carried out from which, the department did not receive any other interested suppliers in supplying the countryside service. On top of not being able to get 3 quotes, the time taken to gather quotes each time an order is placed does not provided value for money and is time consuming. \r
