Plymouth City Council has declared a Climate Emergency and has pledged to be carbon neutral by 2030. This, coupled with a need to reduce operating costs, has prompted the desire to install solar PV systems on four council buildings. The contract is for the design, supply, installation, commissioning and handover of photovoltaic (PV) solar panels on Council buildings at Chelson Meadow, Prince Rock depot and The Box, and either PV or PV/thermal solar panels at Ballard House.
