The Council wish to procure a service that understands the importance of training individuals to use public transport to travel to and from school / college. This will allow young people to develop their independence, self-esteem and general wellbeing as the skills can also be utilised during leisure time to access the local community. We require a service that is able to deliver the training in an effective and timely manner, managing the split-shift work patterns that would naturally be a part of the training young people to use public transport to get to and from school / college each day, as well as demonstrating an understanding of the varying levels of needs and / or disabilities that could be a potential barrier to accessing public transport.
