Local authorities are working hard to increase the number of apprentices in their workforce to make use of the Government's Apprenticeship Levy and meet their Public Sector Targets. The LGA is seeking a strategic partner to work with them to support the 151 large councils in England so they will maximise their apprenticeship levy spend and deliver more starts.
We are seeking bids from individuals, organisations or sole traders to provide 8 months national support. The successful bidder will demonstrate they have a combination of local government sector specific expertise and relevant technical expertise on how to effectively manage and deliver all aspects of a successful apprenticeship programme in a council.
All work carried out will be independently evaluated throughout the programme.
Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
