Construction of Barking Town Centre District Heating Network and Energy Centre

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD) through its wholly owned energy company, B&D Energy Limited will be procuring Works Contracts for the construction of:

• LOT1 - a Barking Town Centre (BTC) wide district heating network (DHN) extending over 2km in route length around BTC connecting over 15 sites. The extent of this LOT will include the heat network and thermal substations
• LOT2 - a new Strategic Energy Centre (SEC) to supply heat into the DHN which will contain gas fired CHP (at least 3 MWe), boilers (in excess of 25 MW) and thermal stores (at least 200 m3)

The Council invites suitably qualified contractors to attend a market engagement event where it will present the proposed LOTS and have a discussion with potential contractors for these Works. The event will be held between 1:00 and 3:00pm on Tuesday 25 February 2020 at The Council Chamber, Barking Town Hall Barking, IG11 7LU.
