Colchester Borough Council (the Council) wishes to commission a contractor to undertake adaptation works in its social housing stock. Typically, these works could include but not be limited to conversion of bathrooms to wet rooms, installation of ramps, dropped kerbs, grab rails and door widening.
Based on previous works, this contract will require adaptation works to approximately 50 properties in any 12-month period. Contractors are advised that the works are demand-led and it is not possible to guarantee any volume of work or to issue a programme of expected works.
Colchester Borough Homes will act as the Contract Administrator with the Council as Client.
The contract will be an JCT Intermediate 2016 Measured Term Contract
The anticipated start date is February 2020 and will run for 2 years with the possibility to extend for up to a further 24 months.
Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
