Hampshire County Council's (the Council) Adults health and care, and Children's services require a contractor to provide the installation of commercial laundry equipment, namely washing machines and tumble driers, as well as a professionally managed helpdesk service for Repairs and Maintenance.
The Council owns a large number of communal washing, drying machines of various types. The majority of this equipment is electrically powered; however, some machines are gas powered. The equipment is situated within care homes, assisted living properties and children's residential homes.
The contractor shall provide access to a fully staffed, supervised Help Desk for all Repair and Maintenance related service enquiries and reporting. The service core hours are between 0800 hours to 1700 hours Monday to Friday (Note contract does not include Bank Holidays, except in emergency circumstances).
The requirement has been fulfilled via a Direct Award under the NHS Laundry and Linen Services Total Solutions (NOE.0572) Framework.
