CEFAS20-27 - RFQ CLiP FTIR (Maldives)

Requirement:

The Marine Litter team at Cefas require to purchase a single ATR- FTIR as part of the CLIP project in the Maldives. To ensure the delivery of the tasks listed for this project including, the creation of a microplastic laboratory for the Maldives Marine Research Institute (MMRI) in the Maldives, an affordable and portable ATR-FTIR is therefore required for the identification of plastics in environmental samples.

Details:

Attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy is a useful technique for measuring the infrared spectra of solids and liquids as well as probing adsorption on particle surfaces. The ATR- FTIR will be used by MMRI during their microplastic monitoring programme for cross analysis and polymer identification for quality assessment and quality control purposes. Installation and training onsite by the supplier will contribute towards the capacity building for MMRI. The unit should be able to produce high-quality spectra even in a high humidity environment.

3) Responding to the tender:

• Click 'My Response' under 'PQQ/ ITT Details', you can choose to 'Create Response' or to 'Decline to Respond' (please give a reason if declining)
• You can now use the 'Messages' function to communicate with the buyer and seek any clarification
• Note the deadline for completion, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the requirements to upload a successful Tender. There may be a mixture of online and offline actions for you to perform (there is detailed online help available)
