Management and performance of AB14 Harvested low input cereal plots

This contract will evaluate the delivery and performance of an arable option in Countryside Stewardship as part of the Agri-environment scheme monitoring and evaluation programme.

Specifically, it will provide information on how CS option AB14 is being delivered by land managers, their attitudes towards it (including motivations and likelihood of retaining it in future schemes) and development of a methodology for assessing plot performance in terms of outcomes for the natural environment relative to conventionally managed areas. Field survey of plots will be carried out in 22/23 subject to additional funding.
