Theatres 1 & 4 provide half of the General Surgery, including UCV, capacity at Yeovil District Hospital and are located on Level 5 of the main hospital block. The two AHU's and chiller currently serving theatres 1 & 4 are located on the roof of Level 3, (see photo 1 below). The works covers the installation of 2 no Daikin EWAT135B-SLB1 air cooled water chillers, install duty/standby water secondary circulating pumps, carry out all the necessary pipe works modifications, install a suitably sized buffer vessel, installation of new pressurisation unit and all necessary modifications to the control systems to ensure the new equipment meets the load of the Theatres.
