Carers Advocacy Service:
Carers Advocacy for parents and carers of adults with learning disabilities, providing independent, practical support, advice and information including transition from Youth into Adult Services. The Carers Advocacy service also provides support to parent/carers of children aged16 plus into Adulthood. This includes independent support and advice, for parent carers of young people between the age of 16-25 who are in education and have an Education, Health and Care Plan. In providing support and advice to parents of young people between 16-25 in education a knowledge of the underpinning legislation is necessary.
