Durham County Council are seeking a planned move to a solo residential placement for a 15 year old male.
He is currently in hospital under Section 3 of the Mental Health Act and is receiving treatment for psychosis. His medication at present appears to be managing his ADHD and stabilising psychotic behaviours.
Before moving to hospital the young person had a wide group of friends and was very sociable.
he is a very likeable young man and quickly builds up rapport with staff.
he has a cheeky personality a good sense of humour and can be very affectionate.
his parents describe him as a caring and funny character who is very loyal to his family and friends.
He is a young man who likes to be occupied with a range of interests. He engages in a variety of activities, he enjoys playing football, going swimming, going on a bus ride and playing pool. he has recently expressed an interest in outdoor pursuits.
Risks include sensory seeking behaviours, absconding, aggressive impulsive behaviour, sexually inappropriate behaviour.
Support package including bespoke training to staff can be arranged for the successful provider.
