The University of Hull are pleased to invite you to participate in a competition for the provision of Waste Management and Disposal Services for a number of waste streams created on its Campus and near by Halls of Residence As part of a strategic exercise the University has recognised its corporate responsibily and that it needs to move towards being Zero Carbon producer as far possible. It is aided in this if it can better manage its waste streams and increase the amount of recycling undertaken with the ultimate aim of no waste going to landfill and either being recycled or used in the generation of Energy. The University proposes to establish contract(s) for the Provision of Waste Management and Disposal Services for waste streams for an initial two years.The contract(s) may be extended for upto a further 2 years incrementally on an annual basis dependant upon performance.Such performance criteria would include but not be limited to improving recycling rates and ensuring bins are emptied in a timely manner.
