An experienced senior Public Health Leader/Consultant is required to provide additional capacity across Cheshire & Merseyside on an innovative programme of work.
As part of a cohesive and dynamic Champs Support Team, you will be supported by a programme manager and work with a lead Director of Public Health.
The Champs Public Health Collaborative coordinates the joint actions for Cheshire & Merseyside (CM) to prevent suicide through the NO MORE Suicide Strategy 2015-2020. In 2017, it was updated with a renewed focus on inequalities, men, children and young people, self-harm and safer care. The Strategy and details can be found at www.no-more.co.uk .
The vision for suicide prevention in CM is:-
"A region where suicides are eliminated, where people do not consider suicide as a solution to the difficulties they face. A region that supports people at a time of personal crisis and builds individual and community resilience for improved lives"
