The Trust is looking to enter into a single car park management contract for both the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, Westmorland General Hospital and Furness General Hospital sites across all car parks - staff only, patient and visitor only and dual use no matter the size or location within the boundaries of the Trust properties.
The Trust wishes to deploy a car parking management system that does not use barriers or pay and display machines but does utilise pay on exit methodology.
In addition to designated car parks both the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Furness General Hospitals sites also have roadside parking. The Trust is open to suggestions as to how roadside parking would be best managed. The Trust currently directly employs car-parking attendants and these will be retained
