The Council's ABCD Community Pathfinder Scheme was established to test and learn how ABCD could be developed in Leeds and over the last six years the ABCD Community Pathfinder sites have evidenced a positive impact, improvement of health and well-being, reduced loneliness, and social isolation of residents in those communities. Citizens have come together to change the things they care about, have reported feeling better connected to their community and friendships have been formed. ABCD has demonstrated that focusing on the strengths, local assets of communities are key to building the foundations of sustainable community development.
