In view of our corporate priorities and to help inform the Review of the Council's Local Plan and preparation of the Council's Open Spaces Strategy, SSDC is inviting quotations from consultants to undertake a review of previous children's outdoor play facilities and their methodology; and a new needs assessment for the District for the period up to 2040, including updating the mapping of all these facilities. These assessments are required to plan for the future provision and management of children's outdoor play facilities to serve existing and new communities in South Somerset, taking into account the emerging Local Plan Review and proposed growth across the district.
SSDC intends to put a contract in place with the successful consultant in August 2021 with anticipated completion of the contract by the end of the calendar year 2021.
