Brief Description:
The overarching focus of this research is to "ask don't presume" as we often find that vulnerable transport users are not given a voice by key decision makers. It is also important to add that while this study hopes to help all vulnerable transport users, our central aim is to gather the concerns and lived experiences of women from a broad range of socio-economic backgrounds.
This research will support the creation of a potential new challenge centred around active travel and combo travel with a goal of making vulnerable transport users feel safer. The competition could potentially run at the beginning of the next financial year. The direction of the competition will be decided following this research to ensure that all projects are streamlined towards a similar goal.
