Milton Keynes Council has recently adopted a Supplementary Planning Document requiring the preparation of a Health Impact Assessment (HIA) as part of the planning application for certain developments (Class C2 developments and C3 residential developments in excess of 50 dwellings).

As part of this process the public health team are required to review and comment on the HIA. The public health team wish to develop their skills and expertise in HIA to support this new role. In the short term there is likely to be a need to support the capacity of the public health team to review HIA by external developers.
