A contractor is sought to undertake repair works to the external shell of a heritage building in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear. Tyne and Wear Building Preservation Trust is a small charity that has agreed terms with Sunderland City Council for the transfer of the building known as the 'Tyre Shop' or 177 High St West & 1/2 Villiers Street, The works will be part funded by the Sunderland High Streets Heritage Action Zone (that includes funding from Historic England and Sunderland City Council) and the Levelling Up Fund from national government.
A Schedule of Works has been prepared and will be released to upto 6 parties who meet the quality criteria. Interested parties are asked to send three case studies of relevant projects to …@twbpt.org.uk describing how they are relevant to the Trust's work explaining how they have managed the contract, the range of technical skills employed and naming sub contractors used. We would ask that the interested party also explains how this size and type of contract fits within their operations and confirm they have the ability to undertake the work in the calendar year 2022.
