Re-tendering of Services for Unpaid Adult Carers

Market Engagement Bidder Event - Carers Redesign

Hackney Council plans to undertake a procurement for services for unpaid adult carers in Hackney. We undertook a consultation period, including a market engagement event, in September to October 2018 which have informed the commissioning plans for carers services.

The core aims of redesigning services are as follows:

Designing a new model of support for carers based on best practice and which is located in the wider context of the carers pathway as it is envisioned in the future.

Identifying carers, especially hidden carers, and empowering them to access services.

Meeting the needs of carers through a robust 'carers pathway' in Hackney which provides adult carers with a clear process to requesting and receiving support for their caring needs.

Supporting carers to continue their caring role and prevent breakdown.

Ensuring equitable and efficient use of resources.

In advance of this procurement, we will be inviting the Market to a Bidder Event from 2:00pm to 3:30pm on Wednesday, 30 January. The event will take the form of a short presentation on the planned procurement, followed by a question and answer session. The venue will be:
