Review of Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Assets

The Authority is commissioning this research project review into Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCERM) assets and their management, with the following aims and objectives. The research project view will look at and report on:

• the statutory powers and responsibilities to map, monitor, inspect and maintain all assets and watercourses
• the current mechanisms and legal powers for managing the coast
• ways of strengthening surface water action locally, ensuring all existing powers and responsibilities are clear and effective, expertise is shared, and complaints processes are sufficient.
