NHS Shared Business Services, on behalf of NHS England and NHS Improvement are commissioning an 8-month evaluation to assess the impact of the Hospital Discharge Policy and Discharge to Assess approach, introduced nationally in March 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.\

This will be a mixed method evaluation to explore the extent to which the Hospital Discharge policy and operating model has reached its objectives and capture the learning surrounding this.\
