The contract is for the provision of an online portal through which candidates upload their information, a check of their social media and any conflicts of interest are conducted, and a result is sent via that portal to DfT. This is an essential part of the pre-employment checks required to recruit anyone into DfT and was implemented as a result of a direction from the SoS.
