Teacher Mentor training programme in the scope of the Continuing Professional Development Programme for English Language Teachers in Turkey

The Ministry of National Education (MONE) has more than 80,000 English teachers serving in different types of schools around the country and is aware that each of them has different needs specific to the type and location of school in which they teach and their different qualifications and experiences. The British Council is collaborating with MONE on the design and implementation of a national capacity building programme to develop a sustainable, continuing professional development framework for English language teachers in Turkey. The programme's primary beneficiaries are the 37,505 teachers from lower secondary schools.

The British Council in Turkey would like to partner with a UK ELT organisation to deliver online teacher mentor training to 300 state school teachers during November 2020 - January 2021.

All work will be carried out remotely from the home base of the trainers.
