This Notice is for the Abandonment of the Contract due to the circumstances detailed below.
The Authority issued a contract notice, on the 10th June 2022, which stated LSMS/005 was a one off fixed quantity buy of rope. It was the Authority's intention to use LSMS/005 to bridge a requirement gap for rope whilst a larger 4x year enabling arrangement for spares and repairs, Fleet General Stores (FGS), was being tendered.
The award of the LSMS/005 Contract was significantly delayed (4 months and 1 week) due to clarifications during the evaluation stage. As a result, the FGS Tender concluded, and the contract commenced on the 9th November 2022 ahead of LSMS/005.
As a result, the Fixed Quantity contract- LSMS/005 is no longer required and the Authority has decided to abandon the competition.
