Primary Care Psychological Therapies (Adults) (AQP) for West Essex

West Essex CCG wishes to establish an Any Qualified Provider (AQP) Framework to deliver Primary Care Psychological Therapies (Adults). This service is expected to complement the existing contract for IAPT in providing additional capacity which will enable the CCG to meet its required access targets.

The PCPT Services will cover the following:

• Depression ,
• Generalised anxiety disorder
• Mixed depression and anxiety

The provider is to ensure all services are inclusive and accessible for those seeking support due to bereavement where this is symptomatic of anxiety / depression.

The AQP Primary Care Psychological Therapies will primarily address mental health Care Cluster 1 as follows:

• Care Cluster 1: Common Mental Health Problems (Low Severity) - This group of service users has definite but minor problems of depressed mood, anxiety or other disorder, but they do not present with any psychotic symptoms.
