Transport Planning and Management Solution

The Council are interested to hear from Providers who are willing to share information about the supply and support of a replacement Transport Planning and Management System. This replacement may consist of a single solution from one Provider or multiple solutions from different Providers.

The Solution required will manage transport related services covering:

Public Bus Services;

School Bus Services; and

Specialised Transport Services for adults and children with special needs.

The Council is seeking solutions for the following functionality requirements:

• Procurement solution (across all areas i.e. Local Bus, School Bus, SEND & Adult services)
• Contract management and reporting
• Financial management - linking to SAP for payments
• Budget monitoring, forecasting and reporting
• Passenger information and marketing
• Route management/optimisation/scheduling
• DBS and ID badge recording and management
• Bus pass management and production
• The management of electronic timetable data, compliance with current and future prevailing standards governing timetable data, including ATCO CIF, TransXChange and NaPTAN as data recording and Data Exchange (import and export) platforms
• Publicity functions, such as roadside display panels and printed timetable leaflets.

This soft market testing exercise will consist of Supplier Days where the Council can explore the Solutions available in the current market place and scope its requirements for the future procurement opportunity.
