The Commissioner will :
Provide support and challenge on the cost of children's services, promoting investment in improvement that will yield future savings/cost reductions and cost avoidance.
Provide effective oversight, support and direction to drive improvements to children's social care, and that these improvements are sustainable and affordable.
Apply expertise and experience to support the CEX and Trust management team, direct the corporate and political leadership where necessary to invest in improvements, establishing and maintaining relationships between all parties.
