MARKET ENGAGEMENT: Salford Integrated Sexual Health Services (ISHS)

Salford City Council are in the process of considering their options for the future design and procurement of their Integrated Sexual Health Services (ISHS). As part of this process, the commissioners of this service are keen to capture the experience, skills and knowledge of providers of these types of services along with any concerns so these can be considered throughout the service and procurement design phases.

At a high level, sexual health services will typically include the following:

• System leadership for Sexual Health across the city of Salford

• Level 0 - 3 Sexual Health Services

• Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment, Online STI testing and some treatment, Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC)

• Contraceptive services

• Young people's specific services

• Psychosexual Counselling services (sexual health aspects)

• Outreach models (both clinical and non-clinical) and health promotion

• Professional training (including STIF Training for clinical staff)

• Network management

Sexual Health Awareness Training for key staff across Salford (e.g. in colleges, for those working with vulnerable or high Sexual Health risk individuals etc.)
