Supply Chain Notice: Tank, bilge and systems cleaning and waste disposal on RN vessels in BAE care and custody docked in Portsmouth Naval Base

BAE Systems Warship Support are looking for suppliers who are able to provide industrial cleaning services to Royal Navy vessels docked in Portsmouth and in the care and custody of BAE Systems. This breaks down into four broad areas.

1) Tank cleaning

2) Bilge cleaning

3) System flushing and cleaning

4) Waste disposal arising from above

There may be other aspects added when the final RFP document is produced and shared with the selected suppliers. Specifications for all the above will be provided as part of the RFP document.

Due to the secure nature of the work it is a requirement that all the suppliers staff have BPSS (baseline security clearance) which they will be responsible for obtaining. BAE are responsible for sponsoring applications for Security Clearance which is required to work on vessels in the Royal Navy's care and custody. Additionally due to the nature of the security requirements within Portsmouth it is highly problematic for non-UK resident foreign nationals to obtain Security Clearance.
